GE U25C – Overview (Prototype Locomotive)
The GE U25C was an early six-axle diesel-electric freight locomotive built in the mid-1960s. It was part of GE’s “Universal” series and was essentially the six-axle counterpart to the U25B.
Key Facts
Builder: General Electric
Years Built: 1963–1965
Total Produced: 113 units
Wheel Arrangement: C-C (six powered axles)
Horsepower: 2,500 hp
Prime Mover: GE FDL-16 diesel engine
Length: About 64 ft 6 in
Purpose: Heavy freight service, benefiting from higher tractive effort than the four-axle U25B.
Why It Matters
It marked GE’s push into heavy-duty, six-axle locomotives.
It offered strong tractive effort for its time, helping railroads haul heavier trains.
Although it didn’t have a long production run, it was an important evolutionary step leading to later and more successful GE six-axle road…
It’s a game that respects the Drift Hunters driver. It rewards practice, celebrates creativity, and captures the soul of car culture. It’s not built to impress with graphics — it’s built to feel right.
As you progress in slope rider the game becomes almost meditative, demanding full focus and rhythm in your movements.
That HO Scale U25C sounds like an incredible piece for collectors—the attention to detail and sound design really stand out! It’s that same dedication to immersion and atmosphere that makes Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) such a captivating experience for fans who love mechanical precision and eerie environments.
