Pictured here is a T1 decoder and NMRA long wire harness. Use a TCS long harness and add a short jumper wire between the yellow and green wires at the socket. This will enable seperate button control of the MARS light. See pictures below. Important CV information: Set CV34= 4. Set CV50=0. Setting CV34 = 4 remaps the yellow wire to button one control instead of the default button zero. Setting CV50 =0 sets yellow wire to come on when loco is going forward.

When using T1 decoder with E7 or PA loco. Important note: Add a jumper wire between the yellow and green wire on the NMRA socket board wire as shown here. Also set CV50=0 and set CV34=4 to make use of function button one to operate the Mars light.
TCS recommends using our DP5X decoder for the E7 installation. The DP5X is Plug-'N-Play for the E7. This includes operation of the Mars Light by using function button one. It is a quick, easy, and clean installation with no extra wires to worry about taping down. Click here to view DP5x installation
