A4X decoder installation

A4X decoder installed.

Installation notes:  After installing the A4X as shown the short hood was running forward. A value of one was added to CV29 to set long hood forward. The LEDs supplied with the loco have current limiting  resistors  inline with the leads under the shrink tubing. The red leads of both LEDS are soldered onto the the 12 volt tab of the decoder. It is a little tight for space above the decoder with the LEDs in place. The plastic motor mounts were trimmed just a bit to allow the decoder to rest lower. This assured the shell was properly refitted.
