Which version of the WOWSound decoder do you have? (Read CV 7 to find the firmware version)

Select the feature you want to program. Select the settings you wish to apply, and then program CV's 201, 202, 203, and 204 IN ORDER

Description: Set how long the decoder should wait without a command before turning its sound off (256 = approx. 3 minutes): NOTE: This feature must be enabled in the 'User Options and Cam Enabling" menu for it to apply.

Select the timer value by moving the slider below or entering the desired value in the text box:
Description: Adjust the temperature at which the decoder will shutoff the sounds to protect itself.

Description: A value of 0 activates traditional throttle operation. A value of 1 enables prototype throttle operation. In traditional throttle operation the chuff volume will remain constant and at the level it is set at in the "Sound type volume" CV or in Audio Assist™. In Prototype throttle operation the chuff, snifters, and rod clank will all react realistically based on what the engine is doing. If the engine is coasting the chuffs will cut out and snifters and rod clank will play, if going up a hill all you will hear is the bark of the chuff as the engine works hard.

Description: This CV controls the acceleration rate while in switching mode, this value is written into CV3. The higher the value the longer it takes for a train to accelerate.

Select whether you would like to increase or decrease the chuff timing (or do nothing):

Description: This CV adjusts the speed of the chuffs. Value above 100 will increase the cuff rate, and values below 100 will decrease the chuff rate.

Note: We highly recommend using Audio Assist™ to adjust chuff timing instead of using these adjustments. Audio Assist™ is much easier!

Select what percentage you would like to change the chuff timing by:
Description: This controls how fast the cylinders slip in and out of sync when the decoder is in articulated chuff mode (if enabled in the user options)

Description: This CV controls the effects accelerating and decelerating have upon the chuff volume. The higher the value the more drastic the change in volume from accelerating and decelerating.

Note: This CV is automatically adjusted by using the Proto-Chuff calibration in Audio Assist™.

Select the rate of chuff volume and intensity change from acceleration and deceleration:
Description: This value is subtracted from the chuff volume only when the locomotive is going forward, this can be used to balance the chuff volume. if the locomotive is "stiffer" in the forward direction. The higher the value the quieter the chuffs will be when going forward

Default Value: 0 Range of Values: 0-32511
Select how much you want to reduce the chuff intensity and volume in the forward direction:
Description: This value is subtracted from the chuff volume only when the locomotive is going reverse, this can be used to balance the chuff volume. if the locomotive is "stiffer" in the reverse direction. The higher the value the quieter the chuffs will be when going reverse

Default Value: 0 Range of Values: 0-32511
Select how much you want to reduce the chuff intensity and volume in the reverse direction:
Description: Sets the lowest volume setting possible for the Chuff sound. The higher the value in CV203 & CV204 the louder the chuff will be.

Default Value: 0 Range of Values: 0-65535
Select the minimum volume of the locomotive chuff:
Description: Controls how fast the chuff volume can go from 0 to full volume based on changes in load when in Prototype Mode. (Default is 2.25 Seconds) 5ms per value – Range is from .5ms to 16 sec.

Note: This CV is automatically adjusted by using the Proto-Chuff calibration in Audio Assist™.

Select the rate of chuff volume change based on load that you would like:
Description: This is the Low BEMF point when calibrating for prototype load based chuff volume.

Note: This CV is automatically adjusted by using the Proto-Chuff calibration in Audio Assist™.
Default Value: 10 Range of Values: 0-255
Select the low calibration point for BEMF calibration:
Description: This is the High BEMF point when calibrating for prototype load based chuff volume.

Note: This CV is automatically adjusted by using the Proto-Chuff calibration in Audio Assist™.
Default Value: 40 Range of Values: 0-255
Select the high calibration point for BEMF calibration:
Description: When the BEMF is at the low point calibration (Sound CV30) the rod clank will be on full volume. As the BEMF increases in percentage (of the range between the low and high calibration points) the rod clank will fade out, fading out completely when it reaches the percentage specified by this CV. For example if the low end calibration is 0 and the high end calibration is 100, at the default value of 30 in this CV the rod clank will be at full volume at BEMF level 0, and zero volume at BEMF levels 30+.

Select the degree to which BEMF will effect the volume of Rod Clank:
Description: This CV controls how much of an effect decelerating has on the volume of the rod clank. The higher the value the greater the volume increases in rod clank from decelerating.

Select how much you want deceleration to effect the volume of Rod Clanks:
Description: This CV controls at what speed the Rod Clank will play. At speeds above the value in CV204 and below the value in CV203, the Rod Clank will not play.

Default Value: CV 203: 127, CV 204: 7 Range of Values: 0-127 for CV's 203 and 204
Select the top end speed step where Rod Clank will play:

Select the bottom end speed step where Rod Clank will play:
Description: This CV adjusts the speed of the chuffs. Value above 100 will increase the cuff rate, and values below 100 will decrease the chuff rate.

Description: This CV controls multiple WOWSound Timers. It effects all Random Sounds, Cylinder Cocks auto turn on time, Auto Audio shut-off from inactivity timer and the articulated chuff slip rate. The higher the number the longer the timer/more time it takes for each timer feature.
Default Value: 768 Range of Values: 0-65535
Use the slider or the text box to select a new WOWSound timer pre-scaler. The higher the number the slower the timer is.
Description: This controls how often a random sound is played. By default the random sounds are: Random sound 1 = Air Compressor Random Sound 2 = Shoveling Sound Random Sound 3 = Injector Random Sound 4 = Safety
Default Value: 20 Range of Values: 0-255
Use the slider or the text box to choose a new random sound frequency. The higher the number the higher the frequency that it will be played.
Description: This controls at what speed step the random sounds will cut out
Default Value: 15 Range of Values: 0-126
Use the slider or the text box to select the speed step at which the Random Sounds cut out. Note: if operating in 28 speed step mode multiply the speed step you want by 4.5 to find its 128 speed step equivalent
Description: This controls the chuff volume sensitivity to loads. A value of zero will give louder chuff volumes and extreme sensitivity to loads. A value of 8 will give minimal chuff volume with no changes from loads.
Default Value: 1 Range of Values: 0-8
Use the slider or the text box to select the chuff volume's sensitivity while under a load.
Description: This controls what speed step the Proto-Chuff feature is enabled. The Proto-Chuff feature plays dynamic chuff sounds for added realism.
Default Value: 0 Range of Values: 0-126
Use the slider or the text box to select what speed step Proto-Chuff gets enabled at:
Description: WOWSound decoders feature many user controllable automatic sounds. Select which ones you want active to customize your locomotive.

Use the slider or the text box to select what speed the Cylinder Cocks automatically shut off at:
Description: This CV controls how long the locomotive must sit idly before it automatically turns the Cylinder Cocks on at the next manuever.
Default Value: 256 Range of Values: 0-65535
Use the slider or the text box to select how long your locomotive must be stopped before the Cylinder Cocks will automatically turn-on at the next manuever. The higher the number the longer it will take. (a value of 256 is about 3 minutes)
Description: This controls what speed step the brake grinding noise starts playing while the loco is decelerating with the brake on
Default Value: 15 Range of Values: 0-126
Use the slider or the text box to select the speed step the brake grinding noise starts playing while braking:
