Magnet Wire

Thirty four gauge magnet wire available in red and green. This wire is made of one strand of soft copper with an outside diameter of .006" (0.16 mm).

Excellent for decoder installation work for Z, N and HO scale. The clear insulation can easily be removed by tinning the wire with a solder ball on a standard soldering iron.

Magnet wire is ideal for any type of tight installations due to its super thin insulation and overall thickness.

The wire has a very thin (yet still tough) insulated coating.

We have used this wire regularly for installing lights in hard to reach places, and running wires through the narrow splits in a frame.
